What is love?

Dear brothers and sisters,

What is love?

Love means never say forgive.

When you love someone, you can understand why she does something, whether she says anything about it or not. This means, you can listen to her heart and soul. And because you understand her, you see her do nothing wrong with you. So you see nothing to forgive.

Jesus, before breathing his last on a cross, said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34). Jesus asked Father to forgive persons who killed him. They were Jewish leaders and Roman military officials.

This means: To Jesus, persons who killed Jesus did nothing wrong with him. So he saw nothing to forgive them. However, Jesus didn’t know if Father punished them or not. So Jesus asked Father not to punish them. He asked Father to forgive them.

To Jesus, persons who killed Jesus had no sins. They were innocent. If the killers committed any sins by killing Jesus, then they sinned against Father, not against Jesus. That was why Jesus asked Father to forgive them.

Love is as such.

Have a love day.
