• Thần Túc Thông (Năng lực đi lại, biến hóa tự do): Iddhi-vidha
• Thiên nhãn thông (Mắt Thần nhìn thấu mọi nơi): Divyacaksus / Divine eye / Clairvoyance
• Thiên nhĩ thông (Tai Thần nghe được mọi âm thanh): Divyasrotra / Divine ear
• Tha tâm thông (Biết được suy nghĩ của người khác): Knowing the minds of others / Telepathy
• Túc mệnh thông (Nhớ lại được các kiếp trước): Knowing past lives / Recall of former states
• Lậu tận thông (Dứt sạch mọi phiền não, không còn sinh tử): Destruction of the corruptions/defilements, no more life and death (Arhatship)

What Organizations Do You Belong To?
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Each of us is a member of various organizations—religious groups, political parties, regional communities, racial groups, fan clubs for superstars, business associations, charitable organizations, and so on. No one exists without belonging to some form of organization.
However, a profound question arises for each individual and for the world: Do you possess the capacity to think “beyond boundaries”? That is, can you transcend the limits of your own affiliations to recognize that others—and their organizations—are no different from you? Can you see that everyone possesses Buddha-nature or the breath of God within them, and that everyone desires personal peace as well as peace for the world?
This is the essence of Upekkha (Equanimity), which comprises:
– Equanimity (A Calm Mind): The ability to maintain peace, composure, and balance amidst life’s ups and downs (gain and loss, disgrace and honor, praise and blame, suffering and happiness). This is not indifference or coldness, but a state of calm rooted in wisdom and overflowing with compassion.
– Non-Attachment: Letting go of the craving to cling to pleasant experiences and the fierce resistance against things that do not go your way.
– A Non-Discriminating Heart: Treating everyone equally with unconditional love and compassion, regardless of their background or how they treat you.
If you cultivate true equanimity, then—-no matter which organization you belong to—-you will think like someone who belongs to no organization, or conversely, like someone who belongs to all organizations simultaneously; you belong to yourself, and you belong to the world. That is a person free from barriers, possessing the six superknowledges (or “six magical penetrations”) of a Bodhisattva:
- Iddhi-vidha (Supernormal powers: the ability to travel and transform freely)
- Divyacaksus / Divine eye / Clairvoyance (The ability to see through everything everywhere)
- Divyasrotra / Divine ear (The ability to hear every sound)
- Knowing the minds of others / Telepathy
- Knowing past lives / Recall of former states
- Destruction of the corruptions/defilements; freedom from the cycle of birth and death (Arhatship).
That is the state of having become a Bodhisattva—unbound by anything, having ferried the world to the other shore.
With compassion,
With compassion,
Hoành
