Today I want to continue reading a novel of Hồ Đình Ba,
“Trôi dạt dòng đời – Drifting lifes“.
I lived at the Catholic quarters in Hue for about 5 years
and had a close neighborhood in there,
but I knew nothing about their spiritual world.
The novel opens my eyes.
It helps me understand more about the priests and the Catholics,
about the way they look at Buddhism and their religion.
It also gives me the knowledge about the affects of Confucianism and Communism on the Vietnamese.
It helps me understand what happened in Viet Nam at that time,
from the 1940s to the 1960s.
Having you read with me,
I am still.
I love to read with you, Jesus.
