“Đường vào địa ngục được lót bằng ý tốt” cho nên bố mẹ thương con nên bắt con học Y dù con chỉ muốn học Nhạc, bắt con gái lấy người đàn ông bố mẹ thấy tốt dù con không yêu, bắt con dâu ngoan phục vụ cả họ hàng nhà chồng như osin không công; nhà nước tính toán giáo dục có chất lượng bằng đủ thứ rào cản thi cử cho nên các em tới lớp 9 mà không thi lên được lớp 10 thì tương lai đại học gần như zero; chồng muốn che chở vợ nên muốn vợ gọi mình là anh dù vợ lớn tuổi hơn mình cả chục năm và đã từng là cô giáo của mình; nước lớn thấy nước nhỏ “vi phạm nhân quyền” (nhưng có dầu hỏa) và bắt nước nhỏ phải ngưng “vi phạm nhân quyền” bằng các dội bom và xâm lược…

Cho nên các bạn cẩn thận với các ý tốt của bạn, cũng như các ý tốt của mọi người, mọi tổ chức, mọi quốc gia, vì thường là “Đường vào địa ngục được lót bằng ý tốt”.

The way to hell is paved with good intentions

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

“The road to hell is paved with good intentions,” so parents, out of love for their child, force him to study medicine when he only wants to study music; force their daughter to marry a man they consider good when the daughter doesn’t love him; force their daughter-in-law to obediently serve her husband’s entire big family like a unpaid osin; the government establish quality education through all sorts of exam barriers, so that if a 9th grade student can’t pass the exam to enter 10th grade, his/her future for university education is almost zero; husbands want to protect their wives, so they want the wives to call them “big brother” (“anh”) even though their wives are decade-older and were once the husbands’ teachers; large countries see smaller countries “violate human rights” (but possess oil) and stop the small countries “human rights violations” through bombing and invasion…

Therefore, be careful with your good intentions, and the good intentions of everyone, every organization, every nation, because often “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
