My God,

My heart aches
When it rains, when it shines
When it’s night, when it’s day
When it’s dark, when it’s bright
I love my people
I love the world
I cannot bear
Their suffering
Too much
I am hurt
I am in pain
I am at the bottom of the abyss
Save me, my Friend and my God
No where to go
No one to turn to
Have I
But you
My faithful Friend
Whose shoulder I have leaned on
Over the days
Over the months
Over the years of my life
You know me
I know you
But many times
I’ve been sorrowful
To the point of death
I know you will be victorious
You will conquer the evil of the world
But still am I
In pain
Waiting
My God
Forgive me for not being strong
As your soldier should be
But what can I do
When I am constantly hurt?
