Dear Brothers and Sisters,

“When the student is ready, the teacher appears” is my saying to indicate that when you are ready to learn spirituality, you will see a teacher stand there waiting to teach you. When you are still not ready, you don’t see the teacher.

That is because (1) when you are ready, your eyes will open and you can see, and (2) teachers are all around you and have been there for eons.

Indeed, learning is the work of you the student. It almost has nothing to do with any teacher. When you are ready, due to đủ duyên (sufficient conditions) or the Holy Spirit’s opening your eyes, you will see all kinds of teachers around you – sacred books, priests, monks, friends, Internet, Youtube, websites, people walking on the sidewalks, trees, flowers, sky and clouds… Everything, every activity, everyone, every animal… has the ability to tell you something deep in your heart.

That is your learning and it is 100% your work, with the help of millions of teachers around you.

So, don’t worry about looking for teacher. Worry about whether you are ready or not.

You are ready when (1) you want, really want, seriously want, and (2) your heart is humble and full of love. A humble and loving heart is pure.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God.

And everything around you is a piece God. You will see God all around you and will know all deep matters of Heart and Spirit.
