Jesus,
These dishes are yours,
so I am washing them carefully.
My left hand is holding a bowl,
white, thick, no pattern.
My right hand is holding a colourful sponge.
I dip the sponge in the washing liquid.
First I wash the inside of the bowl,
then the outside,
then the bottom.
I wash lightly and slowly.
The bowl is of ceramic.
but I feel it is made of jade.
This bowl is as small as my hand,
I can hold it easily.
The other bowl is eight times as big as this bowl.
It’s heavy, but thanks to your help
I feel it’s easy.
I try to make less noise,
settling them down or picking them up.
These dishes are yours,
so I will manage them well.
Thank you for giving our family the pretty dishes.
Amen.
