Sau hơn hai năm xây dựng, viện phật học hoàn tất, và mọi người chuẩn bị làm lễ khai trương. Ni cô Trường Bình đặt tên cho học viện là Viện Phật Học Bát Nhã. Ni cô nói Bát Nhã là trí tuệ giác ngộ, mọi học hỏi đều đưa đến trí tuệ Bát Nhã khi người ta giác ngộ.
Đại Sảnh Đường, tòa nhà chính của viện, là một tòa nhà gỗ cao lớn, mái đỏ cong cong, đứng trên đỉnh đồi nhìn ra vịnh Hòa Cường. Bên sau Đại Sảnh Đường là ba dãy nhà dài, cũng mái đỏ. Dãy bên trái là Giám Hiệu Xá, nơi các sư thầy và sư cô, giảng sư của học viện, cư ngụ. Ở giữa là Ký Túc Xá cho học viên ở. Và bên phải là Tu Viện Bát Nhã, dành cho các tu sinh.
