Chào các bạn,

Trong bài post hôm nay, chúng ta có:

1. Hallelujah do Jeff Buckley trình bày.

2. Bài “Christmas on the Plains” do Roy Rogers và Dale Evans hát từ năm 1949.

1. Jeff Buckley – Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Well I heard there was a secret chord
that David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this:
The fourth, the fifth,
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah…

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah…

Baby I’ve been here before
I’ve seen this room and I’ve walked this floor (you know)
I used to live alone before I knew you
And I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch
and love is not a victory march
It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah…

there was a time when you let me know
What’s really going on below
But now you never show that to me, do you?
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah…

Maybe there’s a God above
all I’ve ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you
And it’s not a cry that you hear at night
It’s not somebody who’s seen the light
It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah…
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah…
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

3. Marty Robbins – Christmas Kisses

Christmas Kisses
Artist(Band):Marty Robbins

(kisses, kisses, kisses, kisses, kisses,)

Christmas time is almost here and you’re not here with me
Smilin’ shoppers everywhere, I’m lonely as can be
Oh, but I’ll be home in two more days it’s you that my heart misses
Please meet me, dear, at eight P.M. and bring your Christmas kisses

Mistletoe is everywhere but, darlin’, I’ll be true
I can’t kiss somebody’s lips unless that someone’s you
I’ve longed each day to hold you tight I know what loneliness is
But I’ll be home in two more days then share your Christmas kisses

(do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do)

This letter that I’m writing you brings teardrops to my eyes
But they’re tears of happiness because I realize
I’m closer to the one I love with each hour that passes
I’ll see you soon and don’t be late and bring your Christmas kisses

Soon these lonely days will end that we’ve spent apart
This holiday I’ll hold you close as well as in my heart
I’ll close for now this letter filled with all my love and wishes
I’ll see you, dear, in two more days and share your Christmas kisses
I’ll see you, dear, in two more days and share your Christmas kisses

(kisses, kisses, kisses, kisses, kisses,)

Christmastime’s A-Commin’
(Artist(Band):Marty Robbins)

Christmastime’s a-commin’
Christmastime’s a-commin’
Christmastime’s a-commin’
And I know I’m goin’ home

Snowflake’s a-fallin’
My old home’s callin’
Tall pine’s hummin’
Christmastime’s a-commin’
Can’t ya hear them bells ringin’, ringin’
Joy, joy hear them singin’
When it’s snowin’ I’ll be goin’
Back to my country home

Christmastime’s a-commin’
Christmastime’s a-commin’
Christmastime’s a-commin’
And I know I’m goin’ home

Holly’s in the window
Home’s where the wind blows
Can’t walk for runnin’
Christmastime’s a-commin’
Can’t ya hear them bells ringin’, ringin’
Joy, joy hear them singin’
When it’s snowin’ I’ll be goin’
Back to my country home

Christmastime’s a-commin’
Christmastime’s a-commin’
Christmastime’s a-commin’
And I know I’m goin’ home

Christmastime’s a-commin’
Christmastime’s a-commin’
Christmastime’s a-commin’
And I know I’m goin’ home

(Christmastime’s a-commin’)

5. Marty Robbins – Merry Little Christmas Bells

Merry Little Christmas Bells
(Artist:Marty Robbins)

Merry, merry, merry little Christmas bells are ringin’
And all the happy, merry little carolers are singin’
‘Cause it’s Christmas time again, a time to bring the yule log in
So have a merry Christmas, my friend

Crisrier, wispier the winter winds are blowin’
And everywhere you go a little holiday is showin’
‘Cause it’s Christmas time again, a time for peace, good will to men
So have a very merry Christmas, my friend

Papa’s kissin’ Mama ‘neath the mistletoe
Grandpa’s had a touch of Christmas cheer
Grandma’s just pretending that she dosen’t know
‘Cause it’s that very special time of year

Merry, merry, merry little Christmas bells are ringin’
And all the happy, merry little carolers are singin’
‘Cause it’s Christmas time again, a time for peace, good will to men
So have a very merry, merry Christmas, my friend

Papa’s kissin’ Mama ‘neath the mistletoe
Grandpa’s had a touch of Christmas cheer
Grandma’s just pretending that she dosen’t know
‘Cause it’s that very special time of year

Merry, merry, merry little Christmas bells are ringin’
And all the happy, merry little carolers are singin’
‘Cause it’s Christmas time again, a time to bring the yule log in
So have a very merry, merry Christmas, my friend
( have a very merry, merry Christmas)
Have a very merry, merry Christmas, my friend

6. Marty Robbins – Many Christmases Ago

Many Christmases Ago

There were shepherds in the field that night
And thay saw a star that shone so bright
And to them the angel’s message was told
Many, many Christmases ago

And they heard good tidings of great joy
(And they heard good tidings of great joy)
T’was the birthday of a baby boy
(T’was the birthday of a baby boy)
Who was born to save our very souls
Many, many Christmases ago

Come, oh come, and greet the newborn child
Born of mother Mary, so gentle and mild

In our hearts the child is born again
And he offers peace, good will to men
For the message lives, the shepherds were told
Many, many Christmases ago

Let us lay our gifts before the king
(Let us lay our gifts before the king)
And in joyful voices, let us sing
(And in joyful voices, let us sing)
For to us the angel’s message is told
As it was so many Christmases ago

Come, oh come, and greet the newborn child
Born of mother Mary, so gentle and mild

Many, many Christmases ago

7. Marty Robbins – Little Stranger (in a manger)

Little Stranger (In a Manger)

Praise and glory to the highest little stranger here on earth

Little stranger in a manger little stranger sweet and mild
Mother Mary there with Joseph watches o’er you, their holy child
Searching for you to adore you came Three Kings led by a star
Little stranger in a manger they’ll find heaven where you are

Choirs of angels are singing this night of your birth
Praise and glory to the highest in a stable on earth

Humble shepherds filled will wonder
Kneel and pray by lanthern light
Little stranger in a manger bless us all this holy night

Choirs of angels are singing this night of your birth
Praise and glory to the highest little stranger here on earth

8. Marty Robbins – Merry Christmas To You From Me

9. Marty Robbins – Country Christmas

Country Christmas

Mommie pop the popcorn and we string it on the tree
Apples nuts and candy oh what a Christmas feel

We’ll have a good old country Christmas alright

A good old country Christmas that’s what it’s gonna be
With all the family gathered round our pretty Christmas tree
We’ll open up our presents Christmas Eve about midnight
We’ll have a good old country Christmas alright

[ guitar ]

Aunt Annie Belle will be here uncle Bill and darn our kids
We’ll make ballets on the floor just like we always did
Gradnama bake the pies and cakes oh what a pretty sight
We’ll have a good old country Christmas alright

A good old country Christmas…
A good old country Christmas…

10. Marty Robbins – A Christmas Prayer

A Christmas Prayer

(Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah)

Dear Lord, I want to thank you
For what you’ve done for me
For all these many blessings
In a world that’s caught in grief and misery
No matter where I wander
I’m always in your sight
And so, my friends, to you my love
Upon this Christmas night

If all my prayers aren’t answered
Then, Lord, I’ll understand
There’s others more deserving
Others, Lord, who need a helping hand
I pray you’ll guide and keep me
Ever near the light
And so my deepest thanks, my Lord
Upon this Christmas night
