Hi everyone,

Here is the hottest news in the recent days–Eating frogs can cure cancer.

  1. I dont think frog’s liver can cure cancer. Now there arent any studies about it. This story can be a rare circumstance. For all i know, frog’s liver is very poisonous and can kill people.

being in teminal stage hepatic cancer, mr. Khởi caught a frog for eating to suicide, because he didnt want to implicate his family. But he didnt die, and frog’s hepar helped him to live well for 3 years. Many people hearing this rumour came to study and hope to cure the serious illness.

Mai Xuân Khởi at Quảng Sơn commune, Quảng Trạch district , Quảng Bình told that, in 2004, he was said to have hepatic cancer by Huế doctors, and he came home to wait his death.Until 2006, he had attacks all nights, he was poor, didnt have money to cure or to buy drugs, seeing everybody during days to wait his death, he wanted to suicide for not implicating hias family. Oneday, when his wife and son went out, being having serious pain, he saw a frog jumping from under his bed, he caught it to eat. But he didnt die, his paint reduced.

He thought that “poison cures poison”, frog can help him to cure his illness, from the day mr Khởi caught some frogs to eat. He does this everyday, at least 15 hepars one day. He feels better.

Now, after 3 years, having eaten thousands of frogs, mr.Khởi told that he hardly felt painful. Everyday he still goes to the field to hoe up ground , and he eats 3 bowls of rice each meal. Lately he went to a local clinic, the result showed the tumor in his liver still exists, but it doesnt develope more than 6 years ago.

  2. Very good job, jEa. Your writing is very solid. I am impressed.

Here is the edited version for you:

“It is rumoured that eating frog can cure cancer

In the teminal stage of hepatic cancer, Mr. Khởi caught a frog and ate it raw, intending to kill himself and relieve his family of a burden. But he didn’t die, and frog liver and bile have helped him stay healthy for the last 3 years. Many people hearing this rumour have come to learn, hoping to cure their grave illness.

Mai Xuân Khởi of Quảng Sơn commune, Quảng Trạch district , Quảng Bình, said that, in 2004, he was told to have hepatic cancer by the doctors in Hue, and he came home to wait for death. By 2006, in pain day and night, poor, without money for radiation treatment and medicine, and seeing family members in attendance waiting for his death to come, he tried to kill himself to relieve his family of a burden. One day, his wife and son were out and, while in great pain, he saw a frog jumping out from under his bed. He caught it and ate it raw. But he didn’t die, instead the pain subsided.

He thought that “poison cures poison”–frog may help him to cure his illness. The next day Mr Khởi caught a dozens of frogs and eat their livers and bile raw. He did that everyday. On a a good day he might finish 15 liver and bile sets. Gradually he felt better and the pain was gone.
Now, after 3 years, having eaten thousands of frogs, Mr. Khởi feels almost no pain. Everyday he still goes to the field to hoe up the ground and tend the soil, and eats 3 bowls of rice each meal. Recently he took an ultrasound test at a local clinic. The result showed that the tumor is still visible in his liver, but it has not grown in size since 6 years ago.”

This is very interesting story. It is worth checking out medically. Maybe there is some cancer curing substance in frogs. I read a couple of articles on CAND. They have local officials confirmed the facts. Maybe the government should send a team of doctors to do some investigation.

In the meantime, those poor frogs! They may be extinct before the doctors get a chance to study ! 🙂
