VietNamNet Bridge – The Telegraph has selected the top 16 most beautiful beaches in Asia, including the Long Beach and Ha My Beach in Vietnam.
Located on Phu Quoc island, the Long Beach offers mile after deserted mile, a backdrop of tropical forests and mountains, swaying coconut palms and spectacular sunsets, according to the website. “This is what many of Asia’s finest beaches were like before they were discovered”, says Telegraph.
Ha My beach, located in Hoi An ancient town, has a wonderful view looking out to the Cham Island.

The ‘legacy’ of the infamous, and now defunct, state-run Vinashin not only includes a loss-making shipbuilder and its debt-ridden subsidiaries, but also a deserted multimillion-dollar steel in northern Vietnam.
In 2011, state-owned shipbuilding firm Vinashin officially collapsed. The company was ‘revitalized’ two years later under the new name of Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC).
Dust and rust are omnipresent at the plant.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam loses more than VNĐ24.6 trillion (US$1.08 billion) per year on tobacco, accounting for almost 0.97 per cent of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP), a World Health Organisation report said.
This includes medical costs of tobacco-related diseases, reduced productivity due to sick leave or early death.
