Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that plastic waste is a global problem. “Every year, the amount of plastic waste emitted by humans is enough to cover four times the surface area of the earth, including 13 million tons of plastic waste floating on the oceans.”

– Công ty TNHH Bạch Ngọc Lâm (huyện Diễn Châu, Nghệ An) vừa nhập khẩu thêm 9 cá thể hổ từ nước ngoài về trong nước. Nâng cá thể hổ ở khu vườn động vật sinh thái Hòn Nhạn lên đến 24 con.
Trao đổi với VietNamNet, ông Nguyễn Mạnh Cường – Phó Chi cục trưởng Chi cục Kiểm lâm tỉnh Nghệ An cho biết, Công ty TNHH Bạch Ngọc Lâm đã nhập 9 cá thể hổ lớn về vườn động vật sinh thái Hòn Nhạn, xóm 14, xã Diễn Đoài, huyện Diễn Châu, Nghệ An.

Bộ Mỏ và Năng lượng Campuchia ngày 12-7 thông báo chính thức chấm dứt bán cát cho Singapore, nơi nhập khẩu phần lớn cát của Campuchia trong nhiều năm qua.
Theo Reuters, các tổ chức môi trường đã kêu gọi Chính phủ Campuchia chấm dứt xuất khẩu cát, với cáo buộc rằng trong những tháng gần đây cát vẫn được xuất khẩu trái phép bất chấp lệnh cấm tạm thời vào tháng 11-2016.

The 50m – long downstream section of the Đắk Mi River in Phước Sơn and Nam Giang districts has been dry for long and local people have to dig the riverbed for water, online newspaper vov.vn paper reported.

ĐỒNG NAI — Nearly 1,000 tonnes of fish have died since last Thursday on the La Ngà River in southern Đồng Nai Province, causing losses of billions of đồng to local fish farming households.
Ngô Tấn Tài, vice chairman of the Định Quán District’s People’s Committee, told Tuổi trẻ (Youth) newspaper that 81 fish farming households from La Ngà and Phú Ngọc communes had reported 977 tonnes of dead fish as of Monday.

The trash is dumped by local households and scrap from nearby construction sites.
This example is just a drop in the ocean compared to the 6,500 tonnes of solid waste dumped in Hanoi each day.
