Giêsu ơi,
Các đột biến của cuộc đời
dù đau nhức,
dạy chúng ta
đừng bám chặt
vào thế giới phù du này.
Không dựa điều gì
trừ Giêsu,
em dễ dàng thấy
thiên đường của Giêsu.* Continue reading Lời cầu nguyện 179 – Prayer 179

Encouraging the participation of local people is part of the measures to promote sustainable tourism development. The issue was put on table at an APEC high level policy dialogue in northern Quang Ninh province on June 19.
According to United Nations World Tourism Organisation, tourism in many developing and least developed countries is the most viable and sustainable economic development option.
Jesus,
I am hurt and in pain.
And the flame of hatred ‘s burning me, too.
I recognize my sin.
I surrender
and submit to you. Continue reading Prayer 178

Founded in 1926 in Tay Ninh province, the Caodaism worships the Divine Eye, known as the eye of heaven and a symbol of its supreme being. It is now the third largest religion in Vietnam.

The Tay Ninh Holy See, the centre of Caodaism in Vietnam, was completed in 1947, covering an area of more than one sq.km with twelve gates.
The Tay Ninh Holy See has unique architecture that combines various religious styles – Buddhism, Christianity, Muslim, Confucianism, Hindu and more.
Jesus,
You give us
who labour and are heavy laden
rest in you.
We take your yoke upon us
and learn of you
for you are meek and lowly in heart.
We shall find rest unto our souls
for your yoke is easy and your burden is light.*
Amen.

In April 2015, I was invited by the Cercle des Francophones (Francophone Association) of Hà Nội to present the film Loin du Vietnam (Far from Việt Nam) at the Hà Nội Cinémathèque. The film was made collectively in 1967 by some of the great names of new French cinéma: Joris Ivens, William Klein, Claude Lelouch, Agnès Varda, Jean-Luc Godard, Chris Marker and Alain Resnais, in support of Việt Nam’s resistance to US aggression.

VietNamNet Bridge – Co Loa Citadel was built near Phong Khe, about 20 km to the north of today’s Hanoi, during the end of the Hong Bang Dynasty (about 257 BCE). The fortress is a spiral-shaped complex of the then new capital. The site was the source of various relics of the Dong Son culture of the Bronze Age.

According to folklore, An Duong Vuong defeated the last of the Hung Kings in 257 BCE and founded the kingdom of Au Lac, choosing the site of Co Loa as his capital.

VietNamNet Bridge – China’s 10-year development strategy could be a good policy for its industry, but it has raised concerns in other countries, including Vietnam.

In May 2015, the Chinese administration announced ‘Made in China 2025’, which aims to push up the development of the country’s industries in the next 10 years.
Chinese factories are struggling with declining demand, a slowing domestic economy and fierce competition from developing economies in the region.
