Đặc biệt hơn thế, học sinh của trường thạo tiếng Việt, có thể giao tiếp bằng tiếng Anh nhiều câu dài trôi chảy; Học sinh biết múa hát các điệu truyền thống… Đây chính là thành quả từ mô hình trường học du lịch mà trường đã triển khai những năm qua. Đưa văn hóa, lịch sử của địa phương vào chương trình giảng dạy là một mô hình được Sở Giáo dục và Đào tạo tỉnh Lào Cai khuyến khích từ năm 2012. Hiện, mô hình đã và đang được nhân rộng ra ở hầu hết các trường tiểu học, THCS và THCS bán trú trên địa bàn. Trong đó, mô hình Trường học đa văn hóa đã đem lại những hiệu ứng khá tích cực. Thành công bước đầu phải kể đến Trường THCS số 1 xã Phú Nhuận, huyện Bảo Thắng, tỉnh Lào Cai.

Addressing the ceremony at Trang Bom station, China’s consul general in Ho Chi Minh City Wei Huaxiang said that the launch of cargo trains connecting the two localities is expected to bring about trade and investment opportunities between Viet Nam and China.

It is expected that by 2025 when Long Thanh international airport, the largest of its kind in Viet Nam, is scheduled to be put into operation, Dong Nai will have all five modes of transportation by road, air, rail, inland waterway and international maritime, helping to promote strong economic development in the locality.

Data from the General Department of Customs showed in 2022, China was Viet Nam’s largest trading partner with a total two-way trade turnover of US$175.57 billion. Of the figure, Viet Nam’s exports and imports from China hit US$57.7 billion and US$117.87 billion, respectively.

In the first two months of 2023, China was the biggest exporter of goods to Viet Nam with US$14.6 billion.

Phim tài liệu ‘Children of the Mist’ (‘Những đứa trẻ trong sương’) của đạo diễn người Tày 30 tuổi Hà Lệ Diễm có tên trong danh sách rút gọn của đề cử Oscar lần thứ 95, theo thông tin công bố rạng sáng 22/12 (giờ Hà Nội).

Trong danh sách rút gọn của hạng mục “Phim tài liệu dài xuất sắc” tại Oscar 2023 đăng tải trên trang Indiewire, Children of the Mist (Những đứa trẻ trong sương) là một trong 15 đề cử. Phim đứng chung các tác phẩm All That Breathes (Anh), All the Beauty and the Bloodshed (Mỹ), Bad Axe (Mỹ), Descendant (Mỹ), Fire of Love (Mỹ – Canada), Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, a Journey, a Song (Mỹ – Canada), Hidden Letters (Trung Quốc), A House Made of Splinters (Đan Mạch), The Janes (Mỹ), Last Flight Home (Mỹ), Moonage Daydream (Đức – Mỹ), Navalny (Mỹ), Retrograde (Mỹ), The Territory (Mỹ – Anh – Brazil – Đan Mạch).

Danh sách đề cử sẽ tiếp tục rút gọn một lần nữa để có top 9 cuối cùng tranh giải. Trong khi, phim còn lại của Việt Nam được gửi đến Oscar năm nay – 578: Phát đạn của kẻ điên – có sự góp mặt của hoa hậu H’Hen Niê bị loại khỏi top 15 “Phim truyện quốc tế xuất sắc”.

Đây là phim đầu tiên mang quốc tịch Việt Nam tham gia danh sách rút gọn tại đề cử Oscar. Năm 1993, phim Mùi đu đủ xanh của đạo diễn Trần Anh Hùng được Viện Hàn lâm Khoa học và Điện ảnh Mỹ xếp vào top 5 đề cử cuối cùng cho “Phim nói tiếng nước ngoài xuất sắc” ở giải thưởng này. Tác phẩm đó có câu chuyện về người Việt, lời thoại tiếng Việt, đạo diễn và dàn diễn viên gốc Việt nhưng được quay ở Pháp và được đứng tên bởi hãng phim Pháp.

ICC chief prosecutor reacts to Putin arrest warrant

The International Criminal Court’s chief prosecutor believes Russian President Vladimir Putin could stand trial for alleged crimes committed during Russia’s war in Ukraine, he told CNN on Friday, despite Moscow’s arguments that it is not subject to the court’s decisions.

In an interview with CNN’s Clarissa Ward, Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan pointed to historic trials of Nazi war criminals, former Yugoslavian President Slobodan Milošević, and former Liberian leader Charles Taylor, among others.

“All of them were mighty, powerful individuals and yet they found themselves in courtrooms,” he said.

Mấy năm nay, đi dọc các tuyến đường về các huyện Tân Thạnh, Mộc Hóa, thị xã Kiến Tường (Long An) thường xuyên bắt gặp những chiếc quạt tạo oxy tung trắng nước dưới nhiều ao nuôi tôm mọc lên giữa đất lúa.

Những ao nuôi tôm này loang lổ như các “đám da beo” ngày càng lan rộng trên đồng lúa Đồng Tháp Mười.

Nghỉ làm trưởng ấp để… nuôi tôm

“Những “đám da beo” này lan rộng nhanh, đất trồng lúa bị thu hẹp lại… Tới giờ thì nhiều nơi diện tích nuôi tôm muốn lấn át diện tích trồng lúa rồi” – ông Bảy Nhâm, một nông dân ở Mộc Hóa, nói.

Không chỉ lo nước mặn từ các ao nuôi tôm ảnh hưởng trồng lúa, ông Bảy Nhâm và những nông dân trong vùng còn “sốt ruột” khi thấy các hộ dân lân cận nuôi tôm có thu nhập gấp nhiều lần trồng lúa. “Gần nhà tôi có nhiều người đào ao thả tôm. Chính quyền địa phương không cho, nhưng họ làm lén, làm đại tới đâu hay tới đó. Chứ trồng lúa không khá nổi”, ông Bảy Nhâm nói thêm.

Vietnam has two online markets and two phyiscal markets entering the honor list of “2022 Notorious Markets for Counterfeiting and Piracy,” by the Office of the US Trade Representative.

BESTBUYIPTV (page 24)

Nominated as bestbuyIPTV.store. Related sites include biptv.best. Utilizes reverse proxy services to mask the
location of its hosting servers.

An increasingly popular form of online piracy is IPTV services that provide pirated audiovisual content, including movies and television series, through subscription services. BestBuyIPTV offers illicit IPTV channels from broadcasters globally, and it is compatible with most platforms and operating systems. BestBuyIPTV reportedly offers over 10,000 unauthorized channels from 38 countries, and also provides reseller and re-streamer services, with over 900,000 users, 12,000 resellers, and 2,000 re-streamers globally. Several right holders have connected the site to Vietnam, but the site uses reverse proxy services to mask the location of its hosting servers.

Shopee is an online and mobile e-commerce market based in Singapore with individual country-focused platforms primarily serving Southeast Asia, Europe, and Brazil. Right holders report overall high volumes of counterfeits across some of Shopee’s platforms, with complaints about cumbersome and duplicative processes among the individual country-focused platforms, differing requirements for takedown requests, and slow response times. Shopee’s Taiwan and Vietnam platforms appear to be positive examples of better engagement with right holders and improved anticounterfeiting efforts, but some right holders indicate counterfeits are also present on those country platforms. In 2022, Shopee launched a pilot program for its new brand protection portal and, with a newly hired global brand protection director, increased its engagement with right holders. Right holders urge Shopee to improve its procedures for vetting sellers, enhance deterrence against counterfeit goods through increased penalties, and cooperate with right holders in investigations of the supply chain for counterfeit goods purchased on the platform.

Tan Thanh Market, Lang Son Province (page 51)

Tan Thanh Market, located in Lang Son province on the border with China, is a wellknown venue for the sale and distribution of Chinese-made counterfeit consumer goods,including clothing, toys, and electronics. Right holders note their appreciation for enforcement efforts by Vietnam, but also report that the widespread sale of counterfeits appears to have continued in this market.

Saigon Square Shopping Mall, Ho Chi Minh City (page 52)

Saigon Square Shopping Mall, located in Ho Chi Minh City, was nominated by right holders as a reported venue for the sale of a large volume and variety of counterfeit luxury products, including handbags, wallets, jewelry, and watches. Right holders again acknowledge the regular and repeated enforcement efforts by Vietnam, but note that the fine for violations is low and has little deterrent effect.
