Giêsu ơi,
Xin Giêsu vỗ về linh hồn các nạn nhân chiến tranh Việt Nam,
cả người Campuchia và người Lào,
cả người Việt Nam và người Mỹ,
cả người Việt Nam và người Hàn Quốc,
cả người Việt Nam và người Thái Lan,
cả người Nam Việt Nam và người Bắc Việt Nam,
cả người dân và người lính…
Giêsu ơi,
Chúa của từ bi và ủi an (1).
Xin an ủi người than khóc (2).
Lau sạch nước mắt cho họ.
Chẳng còn sự chết nữa
cũng chẳng còn khóc than
cũng chẳng còn đau đớn nữa,
vì mọi điều cũ đã qua (3).
Phải,
cái cũ đã qua,
cái mới đã đến (4)!
Dù Giêsu làm họ thấy hoạn nạn,
và nhiều đắng cay,
Giêsu sẽ khôi phục sự sống của họ;
từ vực sâu lòng đất
Giêsu sẽ lại đem họ lên (5).
Giêsu ở cùng họ;
Giêsu không bao giờ rời họ hay bỏ rơi họ (6).
Nguyện xin Chúa của hy vọng đổ đầy họ niềm vui và bình an,
để họ có thể ngập tràn hy vọng (7).

Jesus,
Please touch the souls of Vietnam war victims,
both Cambodian and Laotian,
both Vietnamese and American,
both Vietnamese and South Korean,
both Vietnamese and Thai,
both South Vietnamese and North Vietnamese,
both civilians an soldiers…
Jesus,
God of compassion and all comfort (1).
Please comfort those who mourn (2).
Wipe every tear from their eyes.
No more death
nor crying
nor pain,
for the old order of things has passed away (3).
Yes,
the old has gone,
the new is here (4)!
Though you have made them see troubles,
and many bitter,
you will restore their life again;
from the depths of the earth
you will again bring them up (5).
You will be with them;
you will never leave them nor forsake them (6).
May the God of hope fill them with all joy and peace,
so that they may overflow with hope (7).
