Swahili là ngôn ngữ chính thức của Liên minh châu Phi và 4 quốc gia, cụ thể là Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda và Cộng hòa Dân chủ Congo. Và là ngôn ngữ phổ thông cho nhiều bộ tộc ở đông và trung châu Phi.
