Giai điệu này không dùng cho chính trị được nên Lennon đã mang vào phòng thu album Abbey Road. McCartney (ban nhạc Beatles) nói: “Tôi nói, ‘Ta hãy làm chậm lại bằng một âm bass và trống lầy”. “Tôi đã lên dòng bass, và mọi thứ từ đó tuôn ra.”
Đó là bài hát cuối cùng mà cả bốn Beatles cùng thu âm với nhau.
