What we can’t do

Dear brothers and sisters,

What can we do?

We can do so many things. For example: receiving 9 most prestigious scholarships in the world at the age of 17, studying at the best university in the world, working for the best company in the world, making more money than all people we know, cooking well, practicing martial arts well, playing music well…

We can become to whoever we want, if we study seriously. So, what can’t we do?

  • We can hardly be calm with the proud.
  • We can hardly be gently with the person who lies to us.
  • We can hardly be patient with the person who attacks us.
  • We can hardly be peaceful with the person who harasses us.
  • We can hardly be still with the person who betrays us…

Clearly, we can’t love all people unconditionally. We easily love those who love us –  those who are kind to us, honest with us, or loyal to us. We hardly love those who treat us badly or don’t love us.

However, what is impossible with man is possible with God (Luke 18:27). If we ask God help us love people, God will help us. If we don’t ask God to help, God will not help because God respects us and cannot interfere in our life – each human is a free subject. God can’t help if we don’t ask.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7). Ask God and God will help us do the things we cannot do by ourselves.

Have a nice day.

Phạm Thu Hương.
