The prayer series

Jesus,

I had wanted to be one with you,
then when you came to be one with me,
I denied you.

Jesus,
you ate and drank with everyone, including sinners;
you befriended everyone, especially the poor and the miserable;
you opened yourself to everyone, including those who hated you.
You said,
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Jesus,
please keep me as a channel of your peace.
(Make me a channel of your peace)

Please keep me calm
so that you may use me as an instrument of your peace works on earth.

Amen.
