The world’s most widely used herbicide, Roundup, has faced intense scrutiny in recent weeks, since documents surfaced revealing a close relationship between Monsanto, the creator of Roundup, and EPA officials tasked with regulating herbicide use in the United States. One email exchange included a Monsanto executive boasting that an EPA official had told him he “should get a medal” if he could “kill” an agency investigation into the herbicide.

HÀ NỘI — Malaysian budget airline AirAsia Berhad plans to start a low-cost carrier in Việt Nam, co-operating with local businesses to enter the country’s booming travel market, company representatives told Việt Nam News.
AirAsia signed a shareholders’ agreement with Việt Nam’s Gumin Company Limited, Hải Âu Aviation Joint Stock Company and Trần Trọng Kiên, the owner of these two companies, to form the venture last Friday, which the airline announced in a statement to Malaysia’s stock exchange.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian parliament passed a Tourism Tax Bill in a record session that lasted for almost 20 hours, ending Thursday (Apr 6) morning.
Parliament was adjourned after the Tourism Tax Bill 2017 that was tabled by Tourism and Culture Minister Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz was passed with a big majority.

The painting, Family Life (Doi song gia dinh), depicts an intimate family moment during a leisurely day.

YALA, Thailand: Insurgents fired hundreds of shots into a police booth in restive Muslim-majority southern Thailand on Monday, wounding 12 officers in what police called the biggest such attack in years.
