The prayer series

Jesus,

“Philip found Nathanael and told him,
‘We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law,
and about whom the prophets also wrote
—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.’

‘Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?’
Nathanael asked.”*

Nathanael seemed to lose hope in life at that time.
He didn’t believe that
good things and good persons could be everywhere.
Perhaps he didn’t believe in God,
or that God be everywhere.

Life 2.000 years ago and life now are the same.
A person 2.000 years ago and a person now are the same.

Funny.

Jesus,
the God of hope,
may you fill us with joy and peace,
so that we may overflow with hope
all the time and everywhere.
