Dear brothers and sisters,
Not saying thank-you to God about things we have, we may be bored with ourselves, with everyone, and with life. We may change things we don’t like, but we’re hardly at peace. For example:
Why did God make me be a woman? I don’t want to be a woman. I don’t want to dress and act as a lady, so I dress and act as a man. What’s wrong with me? Why don’t I have a good boyfriend?
Why did God let me be born into a poor family? Because of poverty, I don’t have the opportunities equal to those of the children of the rich families.
Why does God always let me encounter the proud, the liar, the selfish…? I only want to be at peace.
Saying thank-you to God helps us love ourselves, love life, and love God more. For example:
Thank you, God, for making me a lady. With the feminine beauty God gives me – body curves and gently voice – I’m better at diplomacy than many men. Moreover, I’m better at managing and leading than many men because from my childhood I have had to cook, to clean my house, to take care of my young brother… – the works carrying the ability to practice the art of management better than many other works.
Thank you, God, for letting me be born into a poor family. Thanks to poverty, I have understood the poor and the life. More importantly, I have had a chance to understand God. And my future, it’s in my hands – I have had equal, although different, opportunities as those of the children of the richest families in the world. So, I can become whoever I want, if I try seriously.
Thank you, God, for giving me the chances to encounter many kinds of people, the chances to listen to the cries, the hurts and the pains of people, and the chances to love God and love people.
Say thank-you to God for small things and big things, for good things and bad things. That would help you love life and love God more. Everything coming to you is good because it comes from God, and God loves you.
Have a nice day.
