Jesus,

Please touch the souls of Vietnam war victims,
both Cambodian and Laotian,
both Vietnamese and American,
both Vietnamese and South Korean,
both Vietnamese and Thai,
both South Vietnamese and North Vietnamese,
both civilians an soldiers…

Jesus,
God of compassion and all comfort.(1)
Please comfort those who mourn.(2)
Wipe every tear from their eyes.
No more death
or mourning
or crying
or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away.(3)

Yes,
the old has gone,
the new is here!(4)

Though you have made them see troubles,
and many bitter,
you will restore their life again;
from the depths of the earth
you will again bring them up.(5)
You will be with them;
you will never leave them nor forsake them.(6)

May the God of hope fill them with all joy and peace,
so that they may overflow with hope.(7)
