The prayer series

Jesus,

I miss you.
You’re close to me
but I feel you’re so far away.

I open the Holy Bible to meet you.

Though I don’t understand all these words,
the English words,
the words pour your love into my soul.

Jesus, my soul thirsts for you.*
Come and flood my heart again, My River.
Quench my thirsty soul.

Oh Jesus, I am longing for you.
