Mai Trung Thứ is a Vietnamese-French painter, so the appearance that his artworks have Euro culture and Asia culture is easy to understand.

The name “Green Sash” reminds me of Greensleeves, an English folk song said to be composed by Henry VIII for his lover and future queen consort Anne Boleyn. The song has inspired numerous paintings. Here is one.

I read this prayer and wonder if the picture up there is a portrait of Thu Hương. She (in the picture) looks like a channel of peace.
