The prayer series

Jesus,

You choose me and appoint me
so that I may go and bear fruit
— fruit that will last.(1)

You also say,
“I am sending you out…,
be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves”.(2)

How can I do all these things –
going, bearing fruit, being as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves?

Funny.

Have we not done many things together for 4 years?

Yes, for the last 4 years we have had many amazing things together.

Will we go together for the next 40 years?
And forever?

Please give me your patience
so that I can become your best partner.
