The prayer series

Jesus,

I want to be one with you.

So when the sun shines again in grace,
and birds sing their old carols
of peace on earth good will toward men, (1)
I’ll wake up, start living
and working in the Garden of Eden. (2)
Working heartily. (3)
Thus after a toiling day,
I’ll whisper to you in joy
under the full moon,
“You delivered to me five talents;
here I have made five talents more.” (4)

Yes, by bearing much fruit,
I remain in you and you in me. (5)
By working together, we are one.
