TNN– Vietnam has taken pride in its ability to attract foreign investment in recent years, but many are now worried that multinational corporations do not play fair when operating in the country.

Several experts and officials with the Ministry of Planning and Investment pointed out at a recent conference in Hanoi that while foreign direct investment plays an important role in the local economy, there are still many problems that need to be fixed. TP – Trước tình trạng ùn tụ hoa quả tươi mỗi khi vào chính vụ, lực lượng chức năng tỉnh Lạng Sơn đã làm việc với cơ quan hữu trách tỉnh Quảng Tây, Trung Quốc để xử lý.

Chiều 6/4, trao đổi tình hình xuất nhập khẩu qua biên giới Tân Thanh (Văn Lãng, Lạng Sơn), Phó cục trưởng Hải quan Lạng Sơn Vy Công Tường cho biết, đến nay, lượng xe chở hoa quả tươi, chủ yếu là thanh long, dưa hấu đổ về phía cửa khẩu Tân Thanh, Cốc Nam rất nhiều. Trung bình còn ùn tụ khoảng 400 ô tô, tương đương 10.000 tấn hoa quả nằm dọc quốc lộ 1A, 4A từ khu vực Tam Lung, huyện Cao Lộc đến sát biên giới Tân Thanh, dài gần 30 km. WB cấm cửa công ty Mỹ vì liên quan đến tham nhũng tại VN

VE – Hai dự án mà Công ty Louis Berger liên quan tại Việt Nam đều sử dụng phần lớn vốn ODA từ Ngân hàng Thế giới, với tổng giá trị gần 500 triệu USD.

Ngân hàng Thế giới (WB) quyết định không cho phép Công ty Louis Berger Group (LBG, Mỹ) tham gia vào các dự án sử dụng vốn của mình, do có liên quan đến hành vi tham nhũng trong 2 dự án tại Việt Nam. Thời hạn của việc “cấm cửa” kéo dài một năm, đồng thời công ty mẹ của LBG là Tập đoàn Berger Group Holdings cũng bị hạn chế đấu thầu các dự án của WB.

cogitasia – Vietnam boosted its military spending by 113 percent between 2004 and 2013, the largest increase among Southeast Asian countries. Defense spending has accounted for around 2 percent of the country’s gross domestic product since 2004. Total spending was $3.3 billion in 2012 and $3.4 billion in 2013 (the latest year for which figures are available), and according toIHS Jane’s, signed military procurement contracts in 2014 worth $1.4 billion. The revelation on March 11 that Washington expressed concern to Hanoi about Russia’s use of Cam Ranh Bay to assist its bomber flights in the Asia Pacific has again prompted a debate on the role of the port in quickly-warming U.S.-Vietnam defense ties. It became clear that Washington feels uncomfortable about the role Russia still occupies in Vietnam, an increasingly important U.S. partner in Southeast Asia, when Commander of the U.S. Army Pacific General Vincent Brooks confirmed that Russian planes circling Guam recently were refueled by tankers at Cam Ranh Bay. Khu nông nghiệp – công nghiệp chuyên xuất khẩu hàng nông sản cho Nhật vừa được tỉnh Lâm Đồng và phía Nhật lên kế hoạch xây dựng nhằm mục tiêu nâng sản lượng xuất khẩu rau, hoa của Đà Lạt sang Nhật tăng ít nhất ba lần sau ba năm.

Đề án này đã được đưa ra thảo luận tại hội thảo hợp tác đầu tư trong nông nghiệp giữa tỉnh Lâm Đồng và Nhật Bản do Cơ quan Hợp tác quốc tế Nhật Bản (JICA), Tổ chức Xúc tiến thương mại Nhật Bản (JETRO) phối hợp với UBND tỉnh Lâm Đồng tổ chức ngày 23 và 24-3.
