Abstract
The Mekong River is undergoing rapid dam construction. Seven main stream dams are under construction in China and 133 proposed for the Lower Mekong River Basin (LMRB).

The ghosts of Vietnam are stirring anew, just as Trump prepares to visit the nation on his first presidential tour of Asia. Vietnam war hero Sen. John McCain, who spent more than five years in a prisoner of war camp after his plane was shot down, this week put an unwelcome spotlight on Trump’s five draft deferments to avoid military service. And Trump’s prolonged political tussle over the proper way for presidents to honor and grieve with the families of fallen soldiers has focused attention on his lack of military service as well.

Viet Nam News QUẢNG NAM — The Chàm island’s Marine Protected Area (MPA) management board started conservation of the green turtle (Chelonia mydas) by hatching 450 eggs taken from Côn Đảo Island on August 30.

Bồ tát (tiếng phạn, Bodhisattva) là Người tỉnh thức.
Sattva là chúng sinh. Bodhi (bồ đề) là giác ngộ, tiếng Anh là Enlightenment. Bodhisattva, tiếng Anh là the Enlightened Person, người đã được sáng, người giác ngộ. Tiếng Việt thường dùng từ “Bồ tát” theo âm tiếng phạn, hay “Người tỉnh thức” theo nghĩa tiếng Việt.

Trong số các em học sinh lớp giáo lý Vào đời của mình ở giáo xứ Bù Đăng, có em học sinh nam Điểu A Khé rất tháo vát nhanh nhẹn cần cù chăm chỉ học hành, đúng ngày học giáo lý dù trời có mưa to gió lớn em Khé vẫn luôn là người có mặt. Ngoài ra em Khé còn rất nhanh nhạy trước những nhu cầu cần giúp của người khác, nhờ vậy nhiều người trong sóc Bù Ramang gần nhà đã được em Khé giúp đỡ, như trường hợp của bố Tim. Now six Asian countries have joined the 28 Member States of the European Union, the United States, and Australia in vowing to prevent timber harvested illegally from finding its way into their domestic markets.
13 October 2017 | In the past 12 months, Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia have all taken steps to develop import regulations designed to keep illegally logged timber out of their markets.
