Jerusalem: Trump move prompts negative world reaction

US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital has been met with a wave of disapproval.

Leaders from within the Muslim world and from the wider international community were swift to criticise the move, and some warned of the potential for violence and bloodshed as a result.

Mr Trump also approved moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, making America the first country in the world to officially recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

New analysis from The Nature Conservancy, WRI and others estimates that stopping deforestation, restoring forests and improving forestry practices could cost-effectively remove 7 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide annually, or as much as eliminating 1.5 billion cars—more than all of the cars in the world today!

Viet Nam News UNITED NATIONS — The United States has withdrawn from a United Nations pact to improve the handling of migrant and refugee situations, deeming it “inconsistent” with its policies.

“The US Mission to the United Nations informed the UN Secretary-General that the United States is ending its participation in the Global Compact on Migration,” the US said in its statement on Saturday.

Vietnam offers big investment incentives to foreign investors

The ministry said that by 2016, the total value of tax incentives and revenue from land use in all economic sectors had reached VND64.278 trillion, or nearly $3 billion.

This includes VND46.829 trillion worth of incentives in corporate income tax (CIT), VND394.9 billion in personal income tax, VND7.875 trillion in land and water surface leasing fees and VND3.802 trillion in land use fees.

President Barack Obama praised her. Hillary Clinton embraced her in public. The Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, once compared her favorably to Gandhi.
