A few seconds in the elevator

Dear brothers and sisters,

I live in a high-rise apartment complex. Today I got into the elevator on the 1st floor and saw 3 little girls and 1 young woman from the basement. All of them I have never met before.

The elevator is 2 meters long, but they stood very close to the door and the floor number board, so it was a bit cramped. After pressing my floor number, I noticed the youngest girl, about 3. She was wearing a short, flowing dress like a princess, so I said, “Wow, you look so beautiful in a princess dress.” The girl looked at me with her wide eyes and said nothing. Her hands grabbed the iron bar surrounding the elevator, then she swung up and down. I glanced at the woman on my right. She was bowing her head and did something with her phone.

The oldest girl, about 7, thin, standing closest to me, on my left, touched my hand with her hand and said in a serious voice: “Hey auntie, let me tell you.” I turned to look at her . “I didn’t take my hair off last night.” Only then did I look at her hair. Her hair was braided on both sides, then rolled twice, then tied with a bow, looking quite neat, not ruffled. I asked: “Why didn’t you take your hair off?” Her voice dropped slightly. She spoke so softly that I wasn’t sure what I heard: “My mother didn’t care about me.” I glanced at the woman. She raised her face already. She was beautiful, thin, and had no reaction.

At this moment the youngest girl said: “I just fell yesterday.” Her hands left the iron bar and pointed to her eyes. Her one eye was a little yellow. “Oh is that so? Why is that?” The girl did not answer. I looked at the remaining girl, about 6, standing at the back of the elevator, saying nothing.

At this time the elevator opened. The woman got out of the elevator first, then the youngest girl and the girl saying nothing followed. The oldest girl still stood there. She said: “Mom, I wanted to do something.” The woman said nothing and continued walking. At this time the oldest girl got out of the elevator.

From the 1st floor to the 8th floor, there were only a few seconds and so many things happened. Funny.

Share with you.

Have a nice day.
