Dear brothers and sisters,
What do you work for?
For money making?
For taking care of others?
For wanting to know “who am I”?
For wanting to have a feeling of victory?…
When working for those things, we can work very hard at first, but then we shall faint, be weary, and utterly fall.
So what do we work for?
Work for God.
Because “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it (Genesis 2:15)”, we work to give thanks to God. Because God created the man to be his manager, we work to please God.
So working for God is an active action, not a passive action. “I do works”, not “work is done by me”.
Working for God means we work joyfully, not tiredly, because “God gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might God increases strength.
Yes, those who wait on God shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:25-31, NKJV)”.
Working for God, you shall walk and shall not faint.
Accept the power God gives you so that you can work for God.
Have a joyful day.
