Jesus,
I am hurt and in pain.
And the flame of hatred ‘s burning me, too.
I recognize my sin.
I surrender
and submit to you.
Please
remove my sin,
and I shall be clean;
wash me,
and I shall be whiter than snow.
Let me hear the sounds of joy and gladness on earth,
and though you have crushed me and broken me,
I shall be happy once again.*
