The prayer series

Jesus,

Thank you for calling us friends,
your friends.*

You are our God,
Christ the Lord,
Lord of all creation.
And you are our friend.

You walk on water
and calm a storm with your hand.
You heal us:
The blind see,
the lame walk,
the deaf hear,
the dead live again
and you are our friend.

You are my friend,
you hold my hand,
drink coffee with me,
walk with me,
listen to me,
support me…

I am your friend,
I try to know you,
listen to you
and do my best for your will.

We are friends.

Thank you, Jesus, for calling us your friends.
