1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.

John 1 is the official way to write “John, Chapter 1.” John has 21 chapters. If we do one chapter for each article, we will have 21 long articles.
In the beginning: Here, John echoed the first sentence of the Bible (i.e. The first sentence of the Old Testament): “In the beginning God created the Heavens and earth.” (Genesis 1:1). So, John started the story of Jesus from “the beginning” – the time God created heavens and earth.
