Believe in your great potential

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

If you check all the schools of spirituality of the world, you will realize that they all talk, in one way or another, about the great power inside everyone. Buddhism talks about Buddhahood in each of us. The Abrahamic tradition – Judaism, Christianity (Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant), and Islam – teaches we all are children of God with Spirit of God in us. Advaita Vedanta Hinduism says Atman (a human) is a part of Brahman (God).

Even the non-spiritual schools of today talk about “the force” or “the energy” of the universe that we can activate to work in our favor to achieve what we want. I think these schools simply use the old concepts of the spiritual schools without mentioning the word “God”.

Anway, we originally are pure and holy and strong, but we become weak because we live in a way that disconnects us from our original self.

The point is that regardless of what you believe, you want to live strong and happy. So, we are not really talking religions or non-religions. We are talking about the potential strength in each of us and how to work that potential for our benefits.

Many “teachers” of positive thinking today teach a simple thing: If you want something, say, a house, have a clear image of the house in your mind, and believe you already have that house, your mind power will activate “the force” of the universe to eventually deliver to you a house.

Well, if you really want to have a house, naturally you will word hard and save money to eventually have a house, and you will have a house. No need for the force.

The problem is that many people really want a house and will do unethical or illegal things to make money to have a house. That is not a good and safe way for you to have a house. You could be in trouble with the law before touching a house. No guarantee.

The safe way to be strong is relying on our great spiritual potential.

Live with your original potential that is still intact in you. Live with your Buddhahood, hold on your Buddhahood to live. Live with the Spirit of God in you, hold on your Spirit of God to live. If you have no spiritual tradition, then live with Goodness in you, hold on your Goodness to live. Everyone of us has great spiritual potential.

All you need is to tell yourself often: “I am living with my Buddhahood/Spirit of God/Goodness in me.”

That is your great and powerful potential to conquer your self and conquer the world. If you want to call it “The Force”, that is OK too.

Your spiritual power has the strength to achieve anything you want (with righteousness in your heart) – be it building a huge temple or a huge car dealer or a huge bank.

No small, no less.

Wish everyone become powerful.

With compassion,

Hoành
