DEEP C Green Energy, an affiliate company of DEEP C Industrial Zones headquartered in Hai Phong, recently finalized a contract with Bestiani Engineering Company for the installation of 2.16 MWp of rooftop solar on one of its warehouses. With support from CEIA over the course of 10 months, DEEP C Green Energy ran a comprehensive tendering process before procuring the solar energy system on a turnkey basis. This rooftop solar installation is a first step in DEEP C’s long-term strategy to scale up clean energy, energy storage, and smart grid solutions across its industrial parks. A DEEP C representative will present in a CEIA webinar on May 21 to share the company’s procurement-related lessons learned and best practices.
Thủ tướng Chính phủ VN vừa ra Quyết định số 13/2020/QĐ-TTg ngày 6/4/2020 về cơ chế khuyến khích phát triển điện mặt trời tại Việt Nam. Quyết định này có hiệu lực thi hành từ ngày 22/5/2020. (Xem Toàn văn quyết định)
Quyết định là một dấu hiệu tích cực thể hiện cam kết của Việt Nam để cung cấp những tín hiệu rõ ràng hơn về chính sách cho thị trường điện mặt trời, đặc biệt liên quan đến điện mặt trời áp mái, và công nhận khái niệm mua bán điện từ mái nhà tư nhân.
Tuy nhiên, mốc thời hạn cho quy định cho FIT2 đến cuối năm 2020 chỉ còn 9 tháng, có nghĩa là sẽ vẫn tồn tại đáng kể những điểm chưa rõ ràng, điều này sẽ cản trở các quyết định đầu tư. Sự chưa rõ ràng về mốc thời gian này rất nhiều nguy cơ có thể trở nên càng bất ổn hơn trước những thách thức liên quan đến dịch bệnh COVID. Những quyết định và quy định hướng dẫn sau quyết định này nên làm rõ về lộ trình chắc chắn hơn trong cơ chế cho giá FIT và các cơ chế khuyến khích khác để thúc đẩy các quyết định đầu tư vào điện mặt trời, để phát triển tiềm năng lớn của điện mặt trời tại Việt Nam. 24/02/2019 lúc 12:47 (GMT)TCCT Ông Hoàng Quốc Vượng, Thứ trưởng Bộ Công Thương trao đổi về những giải pháp chính sách nhằm thu hút đầu tư phát triển dự án năng lượng tái tạo.
Ông đánh giá như thế nào về cơ chế giá mua điện FiT (feed-in tariffs – giá bán điện năng sản xuất ra từ nguồn năng lượng tái tạo được cung cấp vào hoặc bán cho lưới điện) hiện nay đối với các dự án năng lượng tái tạo? Nó có đủ hấp dẫn đối với các nhà đầu tư không?
Thời gian qua, Chính phủ đã tập trung phát triển năng lượng tái tạo, đã ban hành một số cơ chế, chính sách, đặc biệt là cơ chế FiT cố định.

HO, CHI MINH CITY/SINGAPORE – Vietnam is scaling back a plan to build new coal plants, as financial restrictions and local environmental concerns increase the difficulty and complexity of constructing such facilities.
The National Steering Committee for Power Development has recommended eliminating about 15 gigawatts of planned new coal plants by 2025 due to slow progress and the unwillingness of some regions to develop them, according to state-controlled news website VietnamPlus. Summary: If China is to meet and exceed its Paris Climate Agreement goal by 2030, it’s going to need to find a way to increase its wind capacity. Researchers found that offshore wind could be a big part of the solution.
Under the Paris Climate Agreement, China committed to rely on renewable resources for 20 percent of its energy needs by 2030. Currently, the country is on track to double that commitment, aiming to hit 40 percent by the next decade. Wind power is critical to achieving that goal. Over the past 20 years, China’s wind power capacity has exploded from 0.3 gigawatts to 161 gigawatts.
But, in recent years, that growth has slowed and the hopes for China’s wind-powered future have dampened.

Quyết tâm khơi nguồn năng lượng biển

Nhu cầu năng lượng mặt trời quy mô lớn đang tăng ở Việt Nam, nhưng các rào cản vẫn tồn tại ở một thị trường phát triển mạnh về năng lượng tái tạo cho các doanh nghiệp lớn. Làm thế nào Việt Nam có thể dịch chuyển nhanh hơn để thực hiện tham vọng năng lượng sạch của mình?

For a few months earlier this year, it seemed like there was no stopping the wave of renewable energy projects coming online in Vietnam.
In March, the Srepok 1-Quang Minh solar power plant, Vietnam’s largest at the time, opened in Dak Lak Province. In September, it was surpassed by the Dau Tieng Solar Power Complex in Tay Ninh Province, which is Southeast Asia’s largest solar farm. The following month, the Asia Development Bank agreed to help fund the country’s first floating solar power facility on a reservoir in Binh Thuan Province. If built, it will be the region’s largest such facility. And in October, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) announced that 12,765 rooftop solar systems are selling power to the grid nationwide.

SÓC TRĂNG — Construction of a wind power plant began on Tuesday in the Cửu Long (Mekong) Delta province of Sóc Trăng.
The Vĩnh Châu Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company is the main investor of the project, worth more than VNĐ1.3 trillion (US$56 million) in the first phase.
The power plant will cover a coastal area of about 700 hectares in Lạc Hòa Commune and Ward 2 in Vĩnh Châu Town.
This year, the first floating solar power generating system in Southeast Asia was deployed on a reservoir in Vietnam.
Floating solar power systems are being written into the energy master plans of Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines as well as Vietnam, and into the calculations of investment banks.
The technology presents an alternative to additional hydroelectric power projects.

Phát biểu tại Tuần lễ Lưới điện thông minh đang diễn ra tại Hà Nội, đại diện Trung tâm Điều độ Hệ thống điện Quốc gia (A0) cho biết, từ sau ngày 30/6/2019 tới nay, chỉ có 2 dự án điện mặt trời hoàn tất điều kiện vận hành thương mại (COD) là Nhà máy Hacom Solar (40,3 MW) và Solar Park 01 (40 MW).

At the seminar, entitled “Renewable energy in Vietnam-from policies to reality,” a representative of the International Finance Corporation said many countries have set power prices through auctions.
Vietnam is rising as Southeast Asia’s new wind hero, with power capacity soon to dwarf that of all other Asean nations and the world’s biggest offshore wind farm to be built off its windy coast, but challenges remain.
