Giêsu ơi,

Em thích cách Giêsu gặp chúa quỷ khi Giêsu ở trong vùng hoang vu.

Chúa quỷ là kẻ cám dỗ.
Nhiệm vụ của hắn là cám dỗ con người.
Hắn có thể cám dỗ tất cả chúng ta,
trừ Giêsu.

Em thích cách Giêsu nói với chúa quỷ:
“Xatan kia, xéo đi!
Vì đã có lời chép rằng: Ngươi phải bái lạy Ðức Chúa là Thiên Chúa của ngươi, và phải thờ phượng một mình Người mà thôi.’”*
Em thực sự thích điều này.

Giêsu à,

Xin chớ để em sa chước cám dỗ.**

Nếu em gặp kẻ cám dỗ,
xin hãy giúp em biết rằng em đang gặp hắn
và rằng Giêsu luôn ở trong em.
Em sẽ tiếp tục vui mừng trước bàn tiệc Giêsu dọn cho em ngay trước mặt kẻ cám dỗ.***

Cảm ơn Giêsu, Chúa Giêsu.

The prayer series

Jesus,

I like the way you met the devil when you were in the wilderness.

The devil is the tempter.
His job is tempting people.
He can tempt us all,
except you.

I like the way you said to him,
“Away from me, Satan!
For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”*
I really like this.

Jesus,

Please lead me not into temptation.**

If I meet the tempter,
please help me know that I’m meeting him
and that you’re always in me.
I’ll keep enjoying the table you prepare before me in the presence of the tempter.***

Thank you, Jesus.
