Dear Brothers and Sisters,

You know what positive thinking is, probably you have learned it from ĐCN or from some other place. But if you pay attention, you have already known that the majority of our Vietnamese people, and the people of the world, do not know that there is something in the world called “positive thinking,” not mentioning practicing it. And that is the world’s tragedy.

Positive thinking, as a systematic subject of learning was born only recently, in 1952 when Pastor Norman Vincent Peale published his book The Power of Positive Thinking.

If you know and faithfully practice positive thinking, then you are in a minority group the size of 1 in 100,000 of the world, maybe much smaller.

That means, you have the responsibility to be one of the supporting pillars of the world, and one of the teachers to teach positive thinking to everyone around you. The world is a family – we cannot let the majority of brothers and sisters in the family be ignorant without doing something to bring light to them.

Look at the world – Israel Palestinians (and Middle East and the Islam world), Russia Ukraine, Myanmar, Afghanistan, unrest in almost the entire Africa Continent, Middle America, South America…

We are living in an unstable, dangerous, and crazy world. Even in the US, the politics is divisive, extreme, and on the verge of violence constantly.

The world has lost its way and no one seems able to bring back some sanity.

That is what the Heart Sutra says: “crazy, upside down, dream, imagination” (điên đảo mộng tưởng). In sum, people are insane, because they are deep in ignorance.

God-based spiritual traditions say: People are disconnected from God and they no longer know the righteous path.

So, brothers and sisters, we have the fortune to learn and understand positive spirituality, let us take our responsibility to contribute to bringing the world back to the righteous path. Let’s us live a righteous way and teach others to be righteous.

That is our job.
