Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The corrupt people in the government and big corporations, do you know how they were when younger?

As students, they were top students. As new college graduates, they were exemplary employees on the job. They all rose meteorically in their organizations. And soon, they became big bosses.

Then temptation came. High people started to give them envelops under the table. They became corrupt, in either receiving envelops, or delivering envelops, under the table.

Temptation comes only when you are high enough that people start to give you envelops, or high enough to deliver envelops.

If you re not high enough in the world, chances are you stay clean, because you are not in the ranks of handling envelops.

So, watch out. We are clean, it could be because we haven’t got a chance to be corrupt.

The general lesson is that, we can do stupid thing easily when temptation come – be it lying, or cheating, or grabbing, or backstabbing, or fighting…

So, watch out for temptation.

The Lord’s Prayer has this sentence: “Lead us not to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.” Temptation leads us to the evil one – the Devil himself.

An old pastor has once told me: “Now I am old and understand more, the thing I fear most is temptation. There are so many different temptations waiting to grab us at any time of day and night. It is so easy for us to fall into temptation.”

Wish you see temptation when it comes.
