Tha La xóm đạo và những bài hát bolero buồn

Trong chương trình VHNT kỳ này Mặc Lâm xin giới thiệu hai bài thơ rất nổi tiếng của hai nhà thơ Vũ Anh Khanh với bài “Tha La xóm đạo” và Kiên Giang Hà Huy Hà với bài “Hoa trắng thôi cài lên áo tím”.

Cho tới nay thân thế của nhà văn Vũ Anh Khanh vẫn còn là một bí ẩn người ta chỉ biết ông tên thật là Võ Văn Khanh, sanh năm 1926 tại Mũi Né, quận Hải Long, tỉnh Bình Thuận. Trong giai đoạn từ năm 1945 đến năm 1950, Vũ Anh Khanh là một cây bút chuyên viết truyện ngắn và tiểu thuyết. Tác phẩm của ông gồm truyện dài như Nửa Bồ Xương Khô, Bạc Xíu Lìn, Cây Ná Trắc và các truyện ngắn như Đầm Ô Rô, Sông Máu, Bên Kia Sông… Tuy nhiên bài thơ “Tha La xóm đạo” mới làm cho rất nhiều người nhớ đến tên tuổi của ông mãi tận sau này. Chương 16

Trí hư cực,
Thủ tịnh đốc,
Van vật tịnh tác,
Ngô dĩ quan phục.
Phù vật vân vân…
Các phục qui kì căn.
Qui căn viết tịnh,
Thị vị viết Phục Mạng.
Phục Mạng viết Thường.
Tri Thường viết Minh,
Bất tri thường vọng tác hung.
Tri thường dung,
Dung nãi công,
Công nãi vương,
Vương nãi thiên,
Thiên nãi Đạo,
Đạo nãi cửu,
Một thân bất đãi

 Chương 16

Đến chỗ cùng cực hư không,
Là giữ vững được trong cái “Tịnh”.
Vạn vật cùng đều sinh ra;
Ta lại thấy nó trở về gốc,
Ôi! mọi vật trùng trùng,
Đều trở về cội rễ của nó.
Trở về cội rễ, gọi là “Tịnh”.
Ấy gọi là “phục mạng”.
Phục mạng gọi là “Thường”.
Biết Thường gọi là Minh.
Không biết đạo thường mà
làm càn là gây hung hoạ
Biết đạo thường thì bao dung,
Bao dung thì công bình,
Công bình thì bao khắp,
Bao khắp là Trời,
Trời là Đạo,
Đạo thì lâu dài
Suốt đời không nguy…

Dear Brothers and Sisters, 

One day, while I was thinking about where I could buy fresh tea leaves in Sapa market, an old Black Hmong woman carrying on her back a rattan basket full of green tea leaves passed by my house. 

From a distance, I called her. With a bamboo walking stick in her hand, she slowly came to me. This Hmong woman wore a traditional indigo costume. At an age of over 80, she was thin and had skin as brown as the colour of the soil in Sapa hills. The wrinkles on her forehead and around her eyes looked like the lines of rice terraces. Students killed in Bangladesh job-quota protests

At least six students have been killed and over a hundred injured in protests calling for an end to civil service job quotas in Bangladesh. The violence in the capital Dhaka on July 16, 2024, was the latest flare-up in a deepening conflict over the issue. Hundreds of university students demonstrated against the local government job allocation system, which currently favours children of pro-government groups who back Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Thousands have taken part in protests in several cities since July 7.

ADB keeps Việt Nam’s growth outlook unchanged

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) keeps the growth outlook for Việt Nam in 2024 and 2025 unchanged at 6 per cent and 6.2 per cent respectively, on the back of a strong first-half performance.

HÀ NỘI — The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has kept the growth outlook for Việt Nam in 2024 and 2025 unchanged at 6 per cent and 6.2 per cent respectively, on the back of a strong first-half performance in 2024.

The forecast was released on Wednesday in the latest edition of Asian Development Outlook (ADO), which periodically provides assessment of recent economic developments in Asia and the Pacific and medium-term macroeconomic projections for the region.
