Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Are you truly confident in our Vietnamese people?

This is the most fundamental question in Vietnam’s development, bros and sis. If we don’t have confidence in our own people, we lose the battle even before fighting – you can’t fight a national battle if you have no confidence in your national people.

So, to win the struggle for national development, we need to have faith in our people.

I know that our people have a lot of jerks – the liers, the cheaters, the corrupt, the abusers, the oppressors… But our people do also have a victorious and heroic history behind us to prove ourselves to be one of the rare countries on this planet. We have beaten the Chinese (nhà Hán), the Mongolian (nhà Nguyên), the Manchurian (nhà Thanh), the French, the Japanese and the American, in their prime time as the top powers of the world, to maintain our independence through two thousand years of continuous fighting, counting from the time of the Trưng Sisters, until today.

That is no small deal, guys and gals. We are a super fighter who has always won.

And today, we will also win the battle to develop our country, to be the super economic power of the world.

That, we can do.

Have faith in ourselves and our people.

Love one another. Support one another. Lift one another up.

Be united as a block of steel, to work with one another, to lift our country up to the top of the world.

Be confident in ourselves – we have the heroic blood in our vains.
