Who love who

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We have been trained since we were little that we should live for people to love us and respect us. That is good for babies. But for the adults that is the wrong way of thinking, because it focuses on me, me and me.

When you focus on yourself as the goal of your living, you become a selfish and self-centered person. And you know how those people are. Hopeless!

The more you focus on people’s loving you and respecting you, the more they despise you and hating you. And you will fail in life. That is absolute sure.

On the other hand, if you are selfless, you love people, care for people and respect people, you shall have many people love you, care for you and respect you. And you will surely succeed in life, however you define success.

But the mutual love, care and respect between you and “people” have to be counted on a group basis – you love, care about and respect Mr. A, it does not follow that Mr. A will love, care for or respect you; he may be an SOB and doesn’t give a damn about you. But many other people will love, care for, and respect you.

It means, sometimes mutuality may not happen on a personal basis between 2 persons; but mutuality always exists between a person and his community.

So, my dear friends, I am not preaching you morality for you to be poor and hungry. I am telling you the absolutely sure way to succeed in the earthly world (and in heaven).

With compassion,

Hoành
