HA NOI (VNS) — President Truong Tan Sang yesterday praised a visit to Ha Noi by the President of Sakai city’s Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Association, Kato Hitoshi..

Sang praised Kato’s efforts in helping Viet Nam raise the effectiveness of ocean tuna catching in Binh Dinh province.

Kato said Japan’s International Co-operation Agency was developing a special technical support programme for Vietnamese fishermen and proposed a number of initiatives to boost economic, cultural, and training co-operation between the two countries. — VNS
