Erasmus Mundus – OpSciTech Scholarships
Application for academic year 2011-12 will reopen on November 2010. Deadline: 02 January 2011.
MSc OpSciTech is a unique European Master’s Course providing a comprehensive and multidisciplinary coverage of the field of Optics, from upstream scientific aspects to engineering and applications in major sectors of the economy.
Offered by six top-level academic partners in five countries, it receives financial support from the European Commission and is supported by major industries such as Alcatel-Lucent, Philips, Saint-Gobain, Thales, Zeiss or ASML.
OpSciTech is one of the Master Courses selected by the prestigious Erasmus Mundus framework of the European Commission through which students from non-European Union countries are eligible for two-year grants of € 24,000 per year

Erasmus Mundus – FUSION-EP Scholarships
Deadline for electronic application is December 21, 2010 and for paper copies January 2, 2011.
The Joint European Master in Nuclear Fusion Science and Engineering Physics (FUSION-EP ) is offered by the following partners:
o Universiteit Gent, Belgium (coordinator)
o Université Henri Poincaré, Nancy, France
o Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain
o Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain
o Universität Stuttgart, Germany
The partners have a long relationship in the framework of the coordinated EURATOM research programme on nuclear fusion. The aim of the Masters programme is to provide a high-level multinational research-oriented education in fusion-related engineering physics, in close relation to the research activities of the partners, and with a well-integrated language and cultural experience

Erasmus Mundus – euSYSBIO Scholarships
The Erasmus Mundus master’s programme in Systems Biology (euSYSBIO) is a cooperation between KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden (KTH), Instituto Superior Tecnologico in Portugal (IST) and Aalto University school of Science and Technology in Finland. It is a two-year Master’s programme including compulsory mobilty for the students. Students enter at KTH or Aalto University and continue in the second year at one of the other two institutions.
The euSYSBIO programme offers education of high international standard as well as cultural experience from two different European countries and a double degree from two universities.

CAS Sofia is an independent Institute with international and multidisciplinary profile. Located in Sofia, Bulgaria, it promotes high-level scholarship in the social sciences and the humanities. In addition to supporting focus-group research, CAS Sofia invites outstanding scholars to pursue their individual research projects during in-residence periods of up to five months.
The invited Fellows participate in the intellectual life and the scholarly community of the Centre (Bulgarian and foreign fellows) while working on projects of their own choice. Fellows receive adequate material and intellectual support and can profit from the Centre’s wide international networks, international seminar- and guest-lecturer programme. CAS Sofia assists Fellows in all practical matters concerning travel, residence and research in Sofia.
