Erasmus Mundus-EMLE Scholarships
The European Master in Law and Economics (EMLE) is offered by a consortium of seven universities: Erasmus University Rotterdam (co-ordinating institution), University of Hamburg, University of Bologna, University of Gent, University of Aix-Marseille, Victoria University of Manchester and University of Vienna.
The EMLE has been recognized by the European Commission as an Erasmus Mundus Master Programme of “outstanding academic quality”. The Erasmus Mundus label allows the EMLE programme to annually grant a substantial number of scholarships (including several full scholarships to non-European students).
This programme offers the unique opportunity for interdisciplinary studies of law and economics at two or even three European and Non-European universities. Each partner university awards a Master degree (LL.M. / M.A. / M.Sc.). The programme provides students with an advanced understanding of the economic effects of divergent laws and prepares students for a professional career, for example, in public organisations, in multinational law firms or consultancy firms. Graduates are also well prepared for doctorate research in a PhD programme such as the European Doctorate in Law and Economics.

Erasmus Mundus-UNESCO-IHE Scholarships
The UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education is an international institute for water education that was established in 2003. UNESCO-IHE continues the work that was started in 1957 when IHE first offered a postgraduate diploma course in hydraulic engineering to practicing professionals from developing countries.
Integrated flood risk management aims to reduce the human and socio-economic losses caused by flooding while at the same time taking into account the social, economic, and ecological benefits from floods and the use of flood plains or coastal zones. The need for the adoption of a holistic integrated approach to managing flood risks has been reflected in the Flood Directive of the European Parliament. Existing Masters programmes on floods offered at EU cover many technical aspects but lack integration. The programme follows the holistic approach and is explicitly designed to cover a wide range of topics – from drivers and natural processes to models, decisions and socio-economic consequences and institutional environment, and is therefore an important advance in water education for Europe.
The programme is offered by a collaboration of 4 leading European Institutes namely UNESCO-IHE (lead), Technical University of Dresden (Germany), Technical University of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain) and University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). The first semester will be provided at Dresden, 2nd semester at UNESCO-IHE, 3rd at Catalonia and Ljubljana, and 4th semester will be thesis research at one of the Institutes. Successful students will receive 3 MSc degrees from UNESCO-IHE, TU Dresden and UPC Barcelona. A number of attractive fellowships will be available, which will cover tuition fees and living expenses.

Sato International Scholarship Foundation
Established this foundation with the earnest desire to help create a peaceful 21st century with a future full of hope. By granting scholarships to overseas students of ASEAN and other Southwest Asian countries who wish to study in our country, as well as to those Japanese students who wish to pursue academic research overseas, I believe we can nurture truly “globally-minded” personnel. Thus, more and more people will be capable of mutual understanding, working in good harmony and helping each other grow.
The Sato International Scholarship Foundation grants two types of scholarship for self-supporting students from ASEAN countries as well as Southwest Asian countries enrolled in a Japanese undergraduate or graduate institution:
1. Scholarship for Self-Supporting Students ( Undergraduate students: 120,000 yen/month , Graduate students: 180,000 yen/month)
2. Scholarship for Short-Term Exchange Students.
