HÀ NỘI – UNESCO has responded to the dossier seeking its recognition of the Yên Tử – Vĩnh Nghiêm – Côn Sơn, Kiếp Bạc Monuments and Landscapes Complex as a world heritage site, according to the Cultural Heritage Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
UNESCO said the dossier meets all technical requirements outlined in the World Heritage Convention.

After the Lunar New Year holiday in February there has been rising need for trading and there is some overload, said Hoang Khanh Duy, deputy head of the Management Board of Dong Dang – Lang Son Border Gate in the northern province of Lang Son.
On March 16 there were 1,000 trucks waiting to cross the border on the Chinese side of Huu Nghi Border Gate, mostly carrying food ingredients, machines and car parts.
Customs officials from both countries agreed to increase trading time by two hours starting March 17, and the next day the overload dropped to 500 trucks.
Vietnam saw imports rise 18% year-on-year to $54.6 billion in the first two months. China was the biggest import market accounting for $21 billion, up 51%.

Ngày 15-3, Hợp phần Bảo tồn Đa dạng Sinh học do Cơ quan Phát triển Quốc tế Hoa Kỳ (USAID) tài trợ thuộc dự án Quản lý rừng bền vững và Bảo tồn đa dạng sinh học (VFBC) phát động chiến dịch truyền thông với thông điệp “Ngừng ăn thịt thú, góp thiện cho đời”.
Chiến dịch “Ngừng ăn thịt thú, góp thiện cho đời” sẽ diễn ra tại 5 tỉnh Quảng Nam, Thừa Thiên – Huế, Quảng Trị, Quảng Bình và Lâm Đồng
Theo khảo sát về việc tiêu thụ thịt động vật hoang dã do WWF-Việt Nam thực hiện năm 2021, khoảng 90% thú rừng bị săn bẫy trái phép được tiêu thụ qua kênh nhà hàng, quán nhậu ở khu vực thành thị và số lần tiêu dùng thịt động vật hoang dã trung bình lên tới 7 lần/năm/khách hàng.
Trong nhiều năm qua, Việt Nam là một trong những quốc gia châu Á tiêu thụ nhiều thịt rừng và các sản phẩm khác từ động vật hoang dã. Nhu cầu tiêu thụ liên tục đối với các sản phẩm này dẫn đến tình trạng sụt giảm nghiêm trọng quần thể các loài hoang dã trong tự nhiên tại Việt Nam bao gồm những loài ăn cỏ lớn và mang lớn đặc hữu ở dãy Trường Sơn.

The French Development Agency will provide 42 million euros (US$45.7 million) between now and 2028 to fund works to prevent coastal erosion in Hoi An City.
The Ministry of Finance and the European Union (EU) on Friday signed an agreement for the Hoi An Erosion Prevention and Sustainable Coastal Protection project.
Of the 42 million euros, 35 million euros are a loan from the AFD, two million euros are in the form of non-refundable aid from the EU, and five million euros are Vietnam’s counterpart fund.
The work comprises building seven concrete embankments and pouring sand to create a beach along a five-kilometer stretch of coast along Cua Dai Beach.
