TTCT – Sau 3 năm rưỡi giận lẫy, nguýt xéo, xúc xiểm, gièm pha và xô đẩy, đầu năm 2021, tại đại hội thượng đỉnh Hội đồng hợp tác vùng Vịnh (Gulf Cooperation Council – GCC), 6 nữ anh hào dầu hỏa của khu vực lại chị chị em em thắm thiết ôm hôn nhau.

GCC là tổ chức quốc tế quy tụ Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, UAE và Kuwait. 6 quốc gia độc lập này có nhiều lý do để hợp tác thân thương. Họ cùng một khu vực địa lý là vùng Vịnh, cùng sống nhờ một nguồn tài nguyên là dầu hỏa, cùng một dân tộc là Ả Rập, cùng một văn hóa là đạo Hồi và cùng một thể chế là quân chủ chuyên chế. 

Họ còn cùng một bảo mẫu là đế quốc Ottoman cho đến Thế chiến I. Sau đó họ lại được đế quốc Anh đỡ đầu và sau Thế chiến II, vì trở về quê thu vén, cần bán nhà, Anh quốc đã nhượng lại giá hời cho đế quốc Mỹ. Trong 6 nước này, về phần diện tích và dân số, chị hai là Saudi. Các tiểu quốc còn lại, nếu không nhờ Anh quốc khéo chia để trị thì đã biến mất: Qatar nhập vào Saudi, Kuwait trở về với Iraq, Bahrain bị Iran thôn tính và UAE thì là cái quái gì.

Beijing’s South China Sea moves have ramped up with the passing of a law allowing the China Coast Guard (CCG) to fire on what it identifies as illegal foreign vessels in waters under its jurisdiction. By virtue of China’s nine-dash line claim, this law applies to the entire South China Sea. Given that China’s claims are opposed by other South China Sea claimants as well as numerous non-claimant countries, the law has proven controversial and raises concerns over whether it will increase the risk of confrontation and conflict in the disputed waters.

Tuy nhiên, thực tế triển khai quy định này cho thấy còn nhiều vướng mắc, bất cập. Bài viết phân tích, đánh giá thực trạng quy định và thực hiện quyền tiếp cận đất đai của phụ nữ thông qua hoạt động cấp giấy chứng nhận quyền sử dụng đất và đề xuất giải pháp để thực hiện tốt hơn quyền tiếp cận đất đai của phụ nữ.

TS – 01/03/2021 07:15 – Vịnh Nha Trang, một trong những vịnh đẹp nhất thế giới, được đánh giá là có đa dạng sinh học cao so với nhiều vùng ven bờ khác ở Việt Nam, đã giảm tới 90% lượng san hô khỏe mạnh, phong phú so với bốn thập niên trước.

Đây là kết quả nghiên cứu được công bố vào năm ngoái của nhóm các nhà khoa học tại Viện Sinh thái học và Tiến hóa, Viện Hàn lâm Khoa học Nga và Viện Hải dương học tại Nha Trang công bố trên tạp chí Marine and Freshwater Research1.

LNG importers will bear climate-related risks of exporting countries, threatening energy security and electricity costs

The Texas energy crisis has become world news.

During last week’s extreme winter weather, surging electricity demand collided with falling generation, forcing the state’s grid operator to implement rolling blackouts. In many cases, blackouts lasted for over 24 hours, causing fuel and electricity supply shortages and disruptions throughout the gas supply chain. At least 4.5 million Texans were at one point without electricity and more than 30 deaths have been attributed to power losses, though the final toll could be much larger.

Vừa thấy một chiếc xe máy dừng bên lề đường, cạnh Miếu Đôi đường Hoàng Sa, quận Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng, anh Lê Khả Thiện theo dõi không rời mắt. Và chỉ cần thấy bất kì ai bước xuống xe mà mang theo thức ăn hay tìm khỉ là anh nhanh nhẹn chạy đến nhắc nhở ngay. NEW YORK, 3 March 2021 – Schools for more than 168 million children globally have been completely closed for almost an entire year due to COVID-19 lockdowns, according to new data released today by UNICEF. Furthermore, around 214 million children globally – or 1 in 7 – have missed more than three-quarters of their in-person learning.

The winter storms that swept across the U.S., particularly Texas, upending the energy market and knocking out power for millions of people, have delivered a windfall for Macquarie Group, with the Australian bank lifting its profit outlook for 2021 by as much as 10 percent, just two weeks after warning that earnings would be “slightly down”.

“Extreme winter weather conditions in North America have significantly increased short-term client demand for Macquarie’s capabilities in maintaining critical physical supply across the commodity complex,” according to the company, which is the second-largest supplier of gas in North America after oil major BP, as quoted by Reuters.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A German frigate will traverse the South China Sea this summer for the first time since 2002, German officials confirmed Tuesday (March 1).

Officials in the country’s defense and foreign ministries told Reuters that the frigate, scheduled to embark on a trip to Asia in August, will traverse the South China Sea on the return leg of its journey.
