Reflection on the old days

I walk alone in the old-city quarter
French-styled villas with plumeria flowers
White and pink and aromatic
Imagining me as a coolie two hundred years ago
Pulling a ricksaw carrying a French officer.
And I feel sad.

Great powers
Abuse small powers.
That’s the world
Forever
What’s the point paining about it!

Human constant ignorant arrogant abusive behavior
Why I’m hurt?

Yes, I’m hurt
My Lord
For this world’s
still delusive to the core
In 2026.

What have we learned for the last ten thousand years?
Nothing, I’m afraid.

When will we learn anything?
In ten thousand years, I’m afraid.

Still,
My God, I have faith in you.
I have faith in you.
Light wins over Dark
In human hearts
When comes the Judgment Day.

God win! God triumph!
Bonum vincet! Bonum triumphabit!

Thanks be to God!
Gratias tibi ago, Deus!

Hallelujah.
