Sapa corner
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Sapa has a cool climate all year round. For this reason, mosquitoes don’t breed and survive well here, except in the warm summer.
Normally, I don’t drape a mosquito net over my bed before sleeping, and it’s still fine. However, once in a while, when I open a window in my room during the day, a mosquito might fly in. At night, it comes out and hums around my ears while I am sleeping.
To prevent mosquito bites, I usually turn on a fan and cover myself under a blanket. By doing this, I can fall asleep again more easily.
Though the buzzing sound of a mosquito during the night is quite annoying, it often reminds me of a quote from Dalai Lama XIV: “If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.”
Thanks to sleeping with a mosquito at times, I have realized the quote rings so true. Just as a tiny mosquito can wake us up at night, I believe that each one of us can make a positive impact on our lives and society through our little good deeds every day.
Sharing with you.
Wishing you a meaningful day.
Cheers,
An An
